Ms. Simmons' Technology in Education Philosophy
As teachers, we must not only instruct our students by giving them facts and formulas to memorize, but prepare them to be able to think clearly on their own when a teacher is not present. The students of today will not always be in classrooms. One day, our students will move to higher education and on to the professional world from there. Our job is to prepare children in schools to be critical thinkers and be well developed in deductive reasoning.
Education is enhanced through continuous developments in technology. Lessons become stronger with more thorough information that is detailed and interesting. Teachers are able to access more appropriate and legitimate information with the help of the internet. Information on units and lessons within those units can be made available for parents to access every day via the internet. Technology in the classroom makes the teacher’s job easier while enhancing the education each student will receive.
